North Korea is in South Africa

The team reached the second position of their group right after South Korea and followed by Saudi Arabia, Iran and UAE. Now North Korea is ready for the World Cup 2010.

Its group will be tough because they will have to play against Brazil (15th of June - Ellis Park), Portugal (21st of June - Green Point) and Ivory Coast (25th of June - Mbombela).

North Korea has not participated in a World Cup since 1966 when they were kicked out in quarter of finals after beating Italy.

The stronger players are Yong Jo, forward of Rostov -a russian football team- and Jong Tae Se who plays in Kawasaki Frontale in Japan.

The 23 players of North Korea for South Africa chosen by Kim Jong Hun are:

Goalkeepers: Myong Guk (Pyongyang City) - Myong Gil (Amrokgang Phenian) - Myong Won (Amrokgang Phenian)

Defenders: Jong Hyok (Amrokgang Phenian) - Jun Il (Sobaeksu) - Kwang Chon (April 25) - Chol Jin (Amrokgang Phenian) - Nam Chol (Amrokgang Phenian) - Song Chol (April 25) - Kwang Hyok (Kyonggongop)
